NEW YORK, NY (PRWEB) MAY 17, 2018
Citus Health, a digital health solutions provider for the post-acute care industry announced today that Terri Embry-Drummond RN BSBA, former Nurse Management & Informatics for BioScrip, Inc. and infusion industry expert, has joined its Advisory Board. In this role, Drummond will work closely with the Citus leadership team to provide guidance as Citus Health continues to expand the footprint of its flagship software solution, Call Bell, across the post-acute industry.
“I’ve participated in many activities to identify and resolve financial, clinical and operational pain-points over the years and developed data bases for real-time decision making, all were valuable and necessary,” said Terri Embry-Drummond. “What I saw in Call Bell® was a way to resolve the big communication, data collection and cash collection issues in an easy to use application that drives dollars to the bottom-line. Call Bell® is patient centered and surrounded by care team tools that replace our labor intensive and prone to risk processes. This provides a data rich environment offering an abundance of ways to pull outcomes and create teachable moments for staff. Whether the risk is financial or clinical in nature, the suite of applications is adaptable to an organization’s work flow with measureable results that minimize the associated risk.”
Drummond’s years of clinical, operations, sales, revenue cycle and patient onboarding expertise in the homecare infusion industry, combined with over eight years of technology development experience, makes her a perfect advisor for Citus Health. Her passion for applying technology solutions that drive the very best healthcare experience for referral partners, patients and clinicians, will be utilized in areas such as software development and deployment strategy.
According to Melissa Kozak, RN CRNI, Founder and CEO of Citus Health, “the homecare and infusion industry providers are seeking digital solution partners that are agile, adaptable and can have the quickest impact to their bottom-line. Our suite of software applications can transform an organization’s relationship with their patients and physician care team partners. We are excited to have someone with Terri’s passion and expertise join our Advisory Board. Her 25 years of industry trailblazing and leadership experience will be highly beneficial for us as we continue to develop and deploy our patient-facing, complete care team, digital solution.”
As the former Nurse Management & Informatics corporate leader at BioScrip, Inc, Drummond implemented the use of CPR+ Web Portal to drive nursing efficiency and standardized documentation processes. She developed data logic and worked with their IT department for visibility into productivity and helped support a nurse staffing model driven by measurable impact to patient care and cost reduction efforts. Prior to her experience at BioScrip, Inc., Drummond served as Director of Specialty Programs at Home Solutions. During this time, she introduced the use of augmented reality (AR) technology to embed video content into both marketing and teaching materials to improve the patient and home health agency onboarding experiences. She will bring her experience with augmented reality and virtual reality to Citus Health’s family of products.
The Citus Call Bell® solution serves the unique needs of the growing post-acute care markets as more traditional hospital-based care models are shifting to care within the home and ambulatory infusion centers. Patients, as consumers of healthcare, are demanding quality care, payers want cost effective care with measureable outcomes and physicians are seeking ways to stay informed as the leaders of such care. Call Bell® allows a provider to automate, trend and report on key interventions that might have prevented a negative clinical or costly event. Whether it is capturing digital signatures on orders and delivery tickets, entering accurate patient supply counts electronically, providing diagnosis-driven assessments or equipping patients with on-demand access to answers and clinicians, the Call Bell® solution has near-immediate positive impact on its customer’s bottom line.
